Privacy policy

ContexIn runs only on LinkedIn saved-post pages that you open in Chrome. When you click the extension, it reads the posts already visible in your browser and creates a JSON export for you to download.

The extension is designed for personal knowledge management: exporting your own LinkedIn saved posts so you can search them, back them up, or connect them to an AI tool you control.

The extension may read visible saved-post text, author names, author headlines, post links, visible timestamps, the source page URL, and the collection time.

It requests access only to linkedin.com pages needed for saved-post export, plus standard Chrome permissions for the active tab, scripting, local storage, and downloading your JSON file.

ContexIn stores collected posts locally in your browser storage so the popup can show your latest collection and download it as JSON.

Collect and Download JSON work locally without an account. Sync is optional: it sends your collected posts to your signed-in ContexIn knowledge base.

Hosted records and derived fields are stored in our Postgres database on Neon. Enrichment sends post text through our AI gateway to Anthropic.

Your private endpoint lets an authorized MCP client read your records. Treat its URL as a secret; your AI client applies its own privacy terms.

Trial expiry does not delete your records. Contact us to request deletion; lists and email sharing are not available yet.

The ContexIn website uses analytics to understand page views, clicks, errors, and performance so we can improve the product.

The Chrome-listing form stores your email for one notification when the listing is live, not a marketing sequence. Support messages receive support replies.

Sign-in uses NanoCorp. Hosted accounts store your account identifier, name, email, trial dates and payment status. NanoCorp handles checkout and payment information.

Loading a file keeps it in this browser until you ask. Asking sends your question and up to 15 loaded records to our server.

When available, our AI gateway sends that context to OpenAI to generate an answer. Otherwise, the server returns keyword matches.

The demo route does not save these records or questions to our database. Hosting and AI services may keep operational logs under their own policies.

We do not send your question text in our custom analytics event. Sample records are fictional, not real LinkedIn posts or customer results.

You can delete exported JSON files from your device at any time. You can also remove ContexIn from Chrome or clear its local extension storage through Chrome settings.
